Middleweight Ian Green 157lbs of PatersonNJ upset Khiary Gray Pitts 155lbs of WorcesterMA in the most anticipated bout of the night. Gray started the first in signature-style, looking to land the right and finding success repeatedly. But in the second with Gray pursuing and swinging wildly at the head of his opponent Ian Green caught him charging in with a right of his own and put him down hard. Stunned, Gray barely beat the count and with time running out in the second he was unable to hold or keep Green off and was dropped again, almost through the ropes, by another brushing right from Green. Ref. Arthur Mercante had seen enough and called off the bout at 2:50 of the second, giving Green, a 5 day replacement opponent, a huge televised win over Worcester, MA's hottest prospect. Green improves to 10-1 (8) while Gray picks up his first defeat, now 13-1 (10).

Adam Lopez 121lbs of San Antonio TX and Roman Ruben Reynoso 121lbs of Buenos AiresArgentina had to settle for a majority draw after toiling ten rounds for the WBA Fedelatin super bantamweight title. They fought long past midnight with Reynoso the aggressor throughout with Lopez content to counter him and keep him at a distance. Again and again Reynoso rushed Lopez firing big rights that often landed just off the mark. At the end of ten rounds one judge had it for Lopez at 96-94, one for Reynoso at 97-93 and the third had it even at 95-95. With the draw Lopez goes to 15-0-1 (7) while Reynoso finishes at 18-1-2 (7).

Super Middleweight Jerry Odom, 168lbs of Bowie, MD crunched Julius Jackson 168lbs, of Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands with a big right that ended matters at 1:57 of round three. Odom improved to 14-2-1 (13) while Julius Jackson looks to regroup at 19-2 (15).

In the first bout of the night Brent Venegas III, 119lbs, of Elk Grove, CA, made a successful professional debut with a second round demolition of Christian Foster, 123lbs, of Alexandria, VA. Venegas scored a knockdown in round one and when rushing in to follow-up he got caught and dropped with a counter by Foster. Unhurt, Venegas gathered himself and continued, scoring a second knockdown before the close of the first. In the second he closed the distance on Foster quickly and Ref. Danny Schiavone called off the bout with Foster taking punishment at 1:37 of round 2. Venegas is now 1-0 (1) as a professional while Foster backs into the pro ranks at 0-1.

Bantamweight Leroy Davila 118lbs of New BrunswickNJ defeated Edgar Cortes 121lbs of VinelandNJ by four round unanimous decision. In an all southpaw contest, Davila scored with the harder punches throughout and dropped Cortes with a speedy left in round number three. After four the officials saw the bout 40-35, 39-36 x 2 all in favor of Davila who improves to 2-0 (1). Cortes falls to 2-3.

David Wilson 161lbs of MeridenCT scored a majority draw against Kendrick Ball Jr 162lbs of WorcesterMA. Both men threw punches with bad intentions during this four-rounder, with the orthodox Ball landing heavier on the southpaw Wilson. At the end of four the officials saw it 39-37 for Wilson, overruled by two even cards of 38-38. Wilson is now 5-0-1 (1) while Ball goes to 2-0-1 (2).

With the split verdict win, Jones climbs to 9-0 (6) while Burgin's record dips to 9-2 (2).

Welterweight Jimmy Williams 145lbs, of New HavenCT defeated Antonio Chaves Fernandez 148lbs of BroktonMA by six round decision. After landing a crackling right hand in round one, Williams spent much of the bout hoping to repeat his success and he did sporadically when able to crack through the awkward ambidextrousness of his opponent. After six rounds the judges saw it 60-54 and 58-56 x 2 all in favor of Jimmy "Quiet Storm" Williams who improves to 12-0-1 (5). Antonio Fernandes' record dips to 7-27-3 (2).

Lightweight Rolando Chinea 134lbs of PhiladelphiaPA scored a split decision win over O'Shaquie Foster 134lbs of HoustonTX. Rolando Chinea outworked and outhustled Foster over the eight round distance landing repeatedly with both hands. Foster countered well from against the ropes but Chinea crowded him, keeping him on the defensive too often. Scores were 77-75 for Foster overruled by scores of 79-73 and 78-74 in favor of Chinea.
