On this day in fistiana in 1993, James Toney knocked-out Iran Barkley in what was a bit of an upset at the time. This was only the second fight at super middleweight for Toney and at the time Barkley owned two wins over Tommy Hearns and had gone the distance in a thriller with Roberto Duran. But Toney turned in what was a career best performance at the time and stopped Barkley inside the distance.
And in the co-feature Roy Jones scored a 1st round kayo over Glenn Wolfe.
