This is Roy Jones as a destructive dynamo, not a role he often played during the peak of his career but Merqui Sosa brought out the beast in him. The left-hook festival Roy holds in round one is an assault to the senses, how Sosa endured it and never went down is a credit to his courage and steel-will. It looks as though Sosa's fighting on rubbery legs in the final 40 seconds of the first after Jones has stunned him and all but paralyzed his right side from body blows. The stoppage itself is less than satisfying and it looks as though Sosa even takes a swing at the ref out of frustration, but no doubt Roy Jones was not going to be denied on this night.
