Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson
June 8, 2002
On this day in fistiana in Memphis, Tennessee Lennox Lewis stopped a puffed up shell of what once resembled Mike Tyson in one of the richest and weirdest fights ever. Tyson was uncommonly serene and just took the ass-kicking most people expected and wanted to see. Only Lennox Lewis was wary of him, so much so that the mild-mannered Emanuel Steward is reduced to a surly cuss between rounds, as he extolls Lewis to let his hands go and stop the dead man in front of him.
