Update: On June 28th, 2013, Chase Corbin scored a 2nd round TKO over Roberto Valenzuela and improved to 7-0 (6). He scaled 156lbs for the fight; clearly, no longer a welterweight but he is coming down from a high of 196lbs during the layoff. -AP 7/7/13

NEW YORK (June 24, 2013) - The explosive June 29th HBO Boxing After Dark® triple-header, headlined by WBA/IBO champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (26-0, 23 KOs) champion defending against Ireland's top-rated former world title challenger Matthew "Mack The Knife" Macklin (29-4, 20 KOs), will also showcase a loaded undercard at MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods ® Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
The highly anticipated event is promoted by K2 Promotions and DiBella Entertainment. The Golovkin-Macklin 12-round main event, as well as a pair of 10-round bouts between IBO super middleweight titlist Thomas "Tommy Gun" Oosthuizen (21-0-1, 13 KOs) and Brandon "Flawless" Gonzales (17-0, 10 KOs) in the co-feature, and NABF super welterweight champion Willie "The Great" Nelson (20-1-1, 12 KOs) defending against Argentinian-invader Luciano Leonel "El Principito" Cuello (32-2, 16 KOs), will all be televised live on HBO® beginning at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT.

Thirteen years ago today, Mike Tyson launched himself at Lou Savarese and then at Showtime's Jim Gray, giving him the famous "i'm gonna eat his children" interview.
The fight itself was essentially over after the first leaping left hook Tyson landed. The next startling moment follows when Tyson continues throwing punches right over referee John Coyle who is halting the action too

On this day in fistiana at the MCI Center in Washington, DC, the often self-defeating career of Iron Mike Tyson slammed headfirst into a wall named Kevin McBride; a guy whose size alone would have likely given Tyson some difficulty had they met in Tyson's prime. This being anything but Iron Mike's prime the result was quite sad and all credit to trainer and former fistic sensation Jeff Fenech who stopped the fight with Tyson on his stool when it seemed the former Kid Dynamite was thinking of fouling McBride to get out of the bout.
