On this day in 1994, Oliver McCall shocked Lennox Lewis with a monstrous right hand and then a somewhat overzealous Referee Jose Guadalupe Garcia waved things off for a still-wobbly Lewis. HBO's team certainly sees the WBC-Don King connection as part of the questionable stoppage but one thing that's interesting to note now so many years later is look who is in the corner of McCall, brought in as an assistant trainer for this bout; the late, great Emmanuel Steward.
