On this day in fistiana in a parking lot at Caesar's in Las Vegas, NV, Sugar Ray Leonard used sheer fistic wizardry to nullify the Marvelous One through 36 minutes. One of the biggest upsets of the modern era, Leonard-Hagler was also one of the richest and most hyped, until Tyson-Spinks dwarfed it a little over a year later. On the undercard Juan Domingo Roldan battled James Kinchen and Irish Micky Ward scored his 13th win as a pro.
